Nose-picking Buddha accept your prayer request with drunken Buddha

Religion is very serious. solemn; sublime and divine.

In front of god, Christian Hold Hands, Muslim raise both hands. Buddhist put hands together.
No people place their finger into nose hole. Such action is regarded as blaspheme against God.
Of course Japanese Buddhist never does such stupid action. But surprisingly Buddha statue dose such stupid action in Japanese temple.

This is never so-called joke museum or something.

This is in real divine serious historical honorable temple.

This temple is Takifudouson where is located at Saitama pres. its couple hours from Tokyo, it’s in Deep Mountain.

This temple is really closely the side of road.

Tell the truth, I don’t intend to go there. My poor smart phone navigation app leads me there.

Buddha accept your prayer seriously picking his nose

People come here to pray. Temple is that place. People come here with serious wish to overcome their struggle. People who seek God’s will are all serious. And of course God should be serious too. God must be divine.

But judging from this Buddha’s facial expression, this Buddha seems to have no divine reason in his finger action. This Buddha just seems to be joking you.

What a rude Buddha is it!

Maybe he need punch in his face. But be careful, he is stone !

And next is eating Buddha!

This is not joking place.

You can see this many old plates that are certification lots of believer have donated.

this temple is on the side of road.

Lots of prayer plates are dedicated.

 

This sign board say, if you pray, you get result.

 

 

Around temple, there are relaxing Buddha statue.

This Buddha seem to be serious.

 

In front of this temple, there are pond and small mountain.

 

And again, there is strange Buddha statue in middle of pond.

this is famous Buddha birth scene. You know when he birth, he say “Holy am I alone throughout heaven and earth.；I am my own Lord throughout heaven and earth.

at that time, he point out sky with his finger like this.

This is nomal statue.

 

There is step sign.

And there are way to somewhere. and I go it.

 

At the entrance of mountain path, there are big stone sign, and statue again.

One statue is smiling again.

Another Buddha is half smile.

Next statue seems to be serious and divine one. Temple should be like that.

Mountain path is very wild.

 

Side of mountain path, there are strange statue again.

 

On the top of small mountain, there are serious Buddha statue, and drum on foot of it.

Opposite side, there are straight way, and I can see something.

There are strange pretty buddha statue again on side of path.

 

And finally I reach last Buddha. It’s Dainichinyorai (Vairocana)

 

I think you should not pick your nose in front of this Buddha statue. He seem to be very serious.
